Shandu was one of the earliest native L.A writers to use the spraycan on walls. Along with fellow L.A Bomb Squad members, Crime and Risco, he is credited with being the first to put a piece on the infamous Belmont Tunnels under Crown Hill. He went on to develop a unique style and now conducts graffiti tours of Downtown Los Angeles.

Coming out of the Northeast side of Los Angeles, 125 earned the title of “DTLA KING.” He relentlessly walked the downtown streets, getting up day in and day out. He later caught the “freight train fever” and began painting small pieces on trains each morning for years—a ritual he coined “Trains For Breakfast,” one in which he continues to do this very day.

One of LA’s greatest dynamic bombing duos. Coming from the West side, they got up and went “all-city” in several disciplines. But first, they conquered the “Rough, Tough, and Dangerous” world of RTD Bus writing on the streets of Los Angeles. In this episode, we will cover some of those adventures.

Risky was the undisputed king of West Side graffiti in the 80s and early 90s. He pioneered by constantly pushing the limits, dreaming big, and painting hard. He is known for his great use of color, and creative spray can fill techniques. He has gone on to establish several successful clothing lines, as well as countless art projects with popular celebrities. He is one of the “Rock Stars” of West Coast Graffiti.

Markski, better known as “Freeze Rockin’ Markski,” is an early East Coast, Hip-Hop transplant to the West Coast who played a key role in spreading Hip-Hop culture in East Side, Montebello, Whittier, and Pico Rivera.
